Chapter 263
Chapter 263 Isabel Was Bullied by Xander
Isabelle was standing on the balcony when a noise caught her attention. She turned around and was stunned by what she saw.
"Why, why are you wearing that?!"
Isabel was initially about to look away, but then she realized that avoiding the situation would only make things more awkward. The best approach was to confront it directly, without backing down, and just stare. Wow! His body is truly impressive!
Come to think of it, if he wasn't impressive, how could he have created three babies while running a high fever?
Xander grinned and started walking toward Isabel. "You told me to try it on, so I'm showing you now."
Isabel couldn't help but purse her lips upon hearing this.
She had asked him to try on a sweater or something, not underwear. Even if he wanted to try on underwear, there was no need to show her, right?
These kinds of tight-fitting clothes really emphasize the body. If someone isn't in good shape, they'll look loose and sloppy, but if they're fit, they'll look strong and confident.
"How does it look? Do you think it fits?" Xander asked as he stepped closer to Isabel, closing the distance between them almost entirely.
Isabel could feel her heart racing, her face growing warmer with each passing second. If this continued, she feared she would soon be unable to control herself.
His words were clearly meant to tease, his question lingering with an obvious hint of intention.
What did he mean by "fits"? In what way was he asking?
"Well, it fits quite well," Isabel said, stepping back from him to put some distance between them.
It wasn't that she was scared or shy. It was simply that the man's overwhelming masculinity made her feel completely engulfed when he was too close.
It was like a deer in the wild, unaware of the lurking tiger or wolf, ready to strike.
She needed to maintain her distance, worried that at any moment, the predator would pounce and consume her entirely.
Xander silently savored the sight of her flushed face, sensing that her resistance to him was beginning to fade.
It seemed that his efforts over the past few days had been paying off, but he knew he still needed to keep pushing.
"Thank you. I really love this outfit, so to show my appreciation, I got something for you."
"Huh? What did you buy?" Isabel asked, clearly confused.
Xander flashed a mysterious smile, then turned around and pulled a large bag out of the closet.
The bag was stuffed full, its contents stretching out, making Isabel even more intrigued about what Xander had picked for her. Before she could move closer, Xander flipped the bag over, causing all the items to tumble out with a soft rustling sound. Inside, there was a mix of lingerie and underwear, ranging from simple to provocative, in various colors and styles. Isabel gasped in surprise.
Xander picked up a piece of black lace lingerie with his fingers and held it out to her, "Try this on, I want to see how it looks." Isabel clenched her teeth, struggling to control herself.
Noticing that Isabel hadn't moved to take it, Xander smirked, "I put it on for you, so it's only fair you do the same for me."
"Go to hell!" Isabel had had enough. She grabbed the lingerie from Xander's hand, tossed it over his head, and stormed out of his room, slamming the door behind her. As she made her way upstairs, Samuel heard the noise and called out, "What's going on? Isabel?"
"Ask your brother!" Isabel snapped, heading straight to her own room.
What on earth had just happened? Why did Isabel react like that?
Could Xander have upset Isabel?
No, that didn't make sense. Xander was always so gentle with her. There's no way he would bully her.
With a mind full of questions, Samuel walked into Xander's room. The sight that greeted him left him speechless-Xander standing there with lingerie draped over his head. "Xander ... Xander?" Samuel called out cautiously, unsure if he was really seeing his brother in front of him.
Xander reached up to remove the lingerie from his head, a playful smile spreading across his face. He couldn't help but chuckle.
The sight of Isabel, looking both angry and flustered, had been undeniably adorable.
Samuel blinked in disbelief. Was this really his brother? Was he dreaming?
Meanwhile, in the next room, Isabel buried her flushed face in her hands, her heart racing as she tried to calm herself.
It wasn't just because Xander had
asked her to try on the lingerie; it
was the image of his physique that kept invading her mind, lingering there far longer than she'd like.

As Isabel's mind raced, her phone suddenly rang, displaying Yvette's name.
The moment she answered, Yvette's panicked voice came through.
"Isabel, I'm in big trouble!"
Isabel's heart skipped a beat at the sound of her friend's urgent tone.
"What's going on? Are you unwell? Or is it the baby-"
Gone?
Isabel hesitated, unable to say the words aloud.
"No, it's my parents! They found out I'm pregnant!"
Hearing this, Isabel let out a sigh of relief.
"For goodness' sake, could you please just say everything in one go next time? You nearly gave me a heart attack!"
Just moments ago, Isabel had feared the worst-that Yvette had suffered a miscarriage.
Despite her medical expertise, Isabel knew that if Yvette had miscarried, there would be no way to undo it.
"Isn't that scary enough? My parents found out and are pushing me to tell them who the father is!" Yvette paced nervously. "What did you tell them?"
Isabel had already braced herself for
this. Yvette's parents were no fools,
and given that Yvette had been
avoiding going home, staying in Solaria instead, they were bound to catch on. It wasn't in Yvette's nature to stay still, and with her growing belly, she had occasionally been seen by acquaintances who then reported back to her parents.
"I didn't want to say it, but-"
"You told them it's Max's?"
"I had no other option!" Yvette replied, her voice filled with frustration.noveldrama
"What happened next?"
"Then my parents insisted on meeting Max's family. They're saying the baby is coming, but I'm not officially acknowledged, so they think this situation can't continue."
Isabel's eyes brightened. "So, your parents are expecting you two to get married?"
"Exactly," Yvette said with a sigh, already feeling defeated. She wasn't about to marry anyone just for the baby's sake.
"Then just tell them you can't raise the baby by yourself," Isabel suggested, thinking she could handle it the same way when her time came.
"If I do that, my parents will definitely force me to have an abortion," Yvette replied, her voice heavy with worry.
Isabel understood that Yvette's parents were likely just concerned about the future burden of raising a child.
"So, what's your plan now?"
"I have no idea!" Yvette replied, feeling completely confused and uncertain.
"Do you want to keep the baby?" Isabel asked, trying to get to the heart of the matter.
"Absolutely! I want to keep the baby for sure!"
"Are you willing to go against your parents' wishes?" Isabel asked once more.
"My parents have always been really caring, even though they're strict, it's all because they want what's best for me," Yvette explained, her tone heavy with emotion. "Then there's only one option," Isabel said thoughtfully.
"What option?"
"You should marry Max."
What do you think?
