Casper had his temper and pride. Even though Casper loved her, Jessica had a feeling that Casper might not forgive her. After hanging up on the call, Jessica walked to the window and gazed at the tree. She couldn't stop thinking about Casper.

Among all the men Jessica had encountered, if anyone had developed real feelings for her, it would only have been Casper. Because of that, Jessica was confident that even if she chose another man, Casper would return to her if she sweet-talked Casper nicely. That was why Jessica was willing to spend time talking to Casper.

Jessica sat on a chair and lightly massaged her brows. She had made up her mind to keep Casper around as her backup plan, but she didn't know why she impulsively said so many things to him recently. Jessica wasn't sure what it would take for Casper to forgive her.

After skimming through the document that Casper had given him, Zane asked plainly, "Did you do all of this yourself?"

Zane answered honestly, "Yes."

"It's too slow. This project must be done quickly to catch a foothold in the market," Zane commented.

Zane continued, "If you can't launch it within the shortest time possible, and if anyone else gets the same idea and starts doing the same thing... You will lose all your advantage. Do you understand?" Casper nodded and said, "I understand, but I don't want to waste your money."

Ever since Casper's family went bankrupt, he was no longer the same spoiled rich kid. He learned how difficult it was to borrow money or to ask for investment funds Because of that, Casper wanted to help Zane save some money.

Zane said emotionlessly, "I have a lot of money. If you want to rebuild your business, you must be more generous. Don't be too stingy." Casper replied, "Got it."

Zane hummed approvingly. Then, he

pointed out potential threats that may arise in the project's

development. Casper took notes and made remarks in the proposal. He planned to make the amendments as soon as he got back.

Satisfied with Casper's attitude, Zane nodded. Then, Zane called the HR manager to his office.

The HR manager arrived quickly and asked, "Mr. Huxham, do you need anything from me?"

"Yes. This is Casper Gibson. He has a new project that requires some new hires," Zane said, introducing Casper to the HR manager.

Zane continued, "You can discuss the requirements with him and assist with the recruitment."

Hearing that, the HR manager smiled at Casper and asked, "May I know how many are you looking to hire? Also, what positions would you be hiring for?"

Casper looked at Zane, who nodded

at him in response. Then, Casper

told the HR manager his

requirements. After confirming the details with Casper, the HR managernoveldrama

"Sure."

After agreeing on the details, the two bid their farewells to Zane. In response, Zane nodded and plopped back on his seat.

But Zane thought that was insufficient to make Jessica anxious.
