The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 372

Cedric stared at the screen. For a long while, he remained dumbstruck.

He knew the status of the person who had contacted him. It was startling to see those words from a person of such high standing.

He raised his head to look at Matthew. He couldn't help but glance at the ring on Matthew's hand again.

Matthew was somewhat attractive. However, he was dressed in plain clothes. His appearance was as drab as the ring-so unassuming that no one could tell what his background was.

Nonetheless, such an unassuming person had such a terrifyingly high status. Cedric would have to treat his every word as a command.

Cedric no longer dared to bring up Matthew's assault on Levi. What he had to do was declare his position.

"Mr. Grant, I have a low standing, and I'm ignorant. I didn't know your true identity. Please forgive my ignorance. If there's anything you need from me, just give me the order, and I'll carry it out right now."

Matthew had been observing Cedric's reactions. He could tell from his reactions that the ring was of great importance. He wanted to ask Cedric what it represented.

However, there would be no point in asking him. The person behind Cedric was the one who truly knew what the ring symbolized. He'd have to learn about it another way.

"I'll leave Levi to you. I think he should get his due punishment."

Cedric nodded. "Okay, I'll have someone lock him up and investigate him right now. I'll uncover everything he has done over these years."

Matthew agreed. "Finding out the mastermind behind him would be the best. Remember, no matter who they are, you must tell me. Don't get involved with whatever happens after that. I won't drag you into this." Cedric bobbed his head. "I'll do my best to get it out of him."

After giving the instructions, Matthew left with a wave.

Cedric frowned at Levi, who was lying on the ground, and pondered how to deal with him properly. It was a sticky situation.

...

On the ground floor of Wealthwave Group, a bald old man approached the entrance.

He wore sneakers, loose cotton pants, and a white shirt. It was not a cohesive look.

The old man's

n's face was covered in age spots. The hairs on his head were sparse and had all gone white They were brushed neatly toward the center of his head. It seemednoveldrama

that he wanted to cover up the

empty space there.

A breeze blew past, messing up the few strands of hair. The old man reached up to fix them, combing them toward the top of his head again to cover his bald spot. When the guards saw the old man, they frowned.

Everyone going in and out of the office building was young. The oldest among them were only in their 40s or 50s. Such an elderly man was a rare sight.

One of the guards reached out to block his path. "May I ask who you're looking for?"

Barrett pointed upstairs. "I'm looking for Matthew Grant. The one who has brilliant medical skills."

The last time he had looked for Matthew, his apprentice, Gideon, had called him for help when he had just arrived at the company. So, Barrett had gone back to save his Gideon.

He visited again today to take Matthew in as the Genesis Sect's disciple.

If Barrett had asked about someone else, the guards might have needed to make a call and inquire about them. Yet he was asking about Matthew, and they knew all too well about him.

"I'm sorry. Matthew Grant has already left our company."

Barrett frowned. "How is that possible?"

As far as he was aware, Matthew had saved Wealthwave Group's Fred Carter. There was no way Wealthwave Group would let Matthew leave.

He rolled his eyes and scoffed. "What do you mean by that? Are you trying to drive me away with an excuse?"

The guard furrowed his brow,

confused as to why Barrett would

think that. "Old man... I'll tell you the truth. He's fired. He's our president's boyfriend. While dating her, he hooked up with another woman. The president found out and fired him."

Barrett grew angrier. "Nice try. Your president begged him to come. How could he possibly be fired just for that?"
