The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 69

Chapter 69:.

I didn’t believe it, of course! Freddie glared at Joseph’s back. His boyish face was full of hostility.

Joseph was the CEO of the ST Group, what kind of thing couldn’t he get? He came to such a small apartment to experience another kind of lifestyle? He didn’t think Joseph didn’t have other plans.

Hayden quickly cleaned the bed and, on his way out, handed new towels and toiletries to Joseph.

In the evening, Stella and Joseph brushed their teeth at the sink. Stella stood on the small bench and brushed her teeth until her mouth was full of foam. She looked exultant.

“Why are you laughing?”, Joseph asked her.

Stella spit out a mouthful of mouthwash and stood up on the little bench, hooking Joseph’s little finger with her pinky.

Joseph understood what she meant and leaned over.

She patted him on the shoulder and sighed like a little adult, “I told you my mommy is very prominent. A lot of people want to chase her.”noveldrama

Thinking of Freddie, Joseph felt a little unhappy so he asked her. “So, what do you think I should do?”.

“Try harder and you should take the initiative, sir.” Stella straightened up her body and smiled happily, “If you make an effort now, it’s not too late yet. Besides, you can get an obedient and pretty daughter like me for nothing. But if you don’t make an effort, you may marry Violet in the future, whom Noah doesn’t want. Besides, even if you have another daughter in the future, she won’t be as pretty as me.”

These illogical words made Joseph smile helplessly. He took a towel to wipe Stella’s mouth and stroked her soft hair, telling her. “It’s okay, I got it. Go to bed.”

“Okay, remember to make an effort, sir. I’ll support you.” Stella kissed his cheeks and jumped off the bench. Then she skipped gaily toward her room.

“Why does this girl look so excited, what did she just say to you?” Hayden, who had just entered, took his own glass of mouthwash and merely asked.

Joseph stared at the two figures standing side by side in the mirror. One was using a blue toothbrush and a red glass, while the other was using a red toothbrush and a blue glass. When the woman next to him asked him relaxedly about his daughter’s affair, he surprisingly wished he could enjoy such a quiet and stable life forever.

He was so moved that he was a little lost in thought.

As Hayden didn’t get her answer, she unconsciously glanced at Joseph in the mirror and saw that he was looking at her too. Slightly dazed, she bit down on her toothbrush as she stammered, “What’s wrong with you?”

Joseph came to, “Nothing, it’s just that the toothbrush is too hard.”

“Is it?” Hayden looked at the toothbrush in his hand, “There’s a grocery store downstairs. Do you want me to buy you a new one? I don’t usually worry about this sort of thing, so the toothbrushes I buy are pretty cheap.”

“No need, I’ll settle for this.” Joseph seemed indifferent and went back to his room after brushing his teeth.

Noah tossed and turned on the bed. He seemed very energetic.

“Noah, time for bed.”

Joseph squeezed Noah’s twitching shoulder and pulled the blanket to cover their bodies.

Noah snuggled into Joseph’s arms and lay down taking a relatively comfortable position.

It was rare to see him so obedient.

When Joseph thought about the feelings he had that he felt for Hayden, he frowned. He looked up at the ceiling and couldn’t fall asleep. He consoled himself by thinking that the reason he had that kind of feeling was that he cared about Noah’s feelings. After all, it was rare for Noah to be willing to be close to anyone, as he was not normally attached to anyone.

After meeting Hayden, Noah’s character improved a lot and he became much more cheerful.

The reason he agreed to marry Violet was because he cared about Noah’s feelings. But now, it seemed that Noah obviously liked Hayden more. Maybe Noah didn’t just want a mom, but had already decided that the kind of mom he wanted to have was Hayden?

Thinking about this, somehow he was able to resolve some of his doubts from earlier.

“Noah, do you really expect to have a mom like Hayden?”.

Noah had already closed his eyes, but after hearing those words, he got up on Joseph’s arm. He took his drawing board, wrote a line of words and roughly placed it on Joseph’s body.

“[Even if I hope so, it’s in vain, you don’t get to chase her. I’ve seen it all today, she doesn’t even want to bother you. The reason she let us stay here is for my sake. Stella says Freddie has a good relationship with her mom].”

As Joseph’s charm was continually called into question by the two young children, he was a little depressed. “Why don’t they believe me?”

Noah wrote again on the drawing board, “[Have you ever chased a woman?”.]

Joseph touched his nose awkwardly.

He had never done that.

After watching Joseph’s expression for a while, Noah apparently understood and sighed heavily. He pulled back the blanket and fell asleep. He wasn’t about to bother Joseph anymore.

Noah thought to himself that Joseph didn’t have the experience of chasing a woman, having been chased by others since he was young. In this case, how would he know how to chase a woman? Without Stella’s help, he definitely didn’t stand a chance.

When Joseph saw his son’s behavior, he became even more depressed and could not fall asleep. Before lights out, he grabbed his phone and sent a text message.

The next morning, Hayden was still sleeping, but suddenly there were noises outside. Stella opened the door and rushed in, she was wearing pajamas with a picture of a bunny and jumped into bed to wake Hayden up.

“Mommy, something’s wrong, something’s wrong, there’s a lot of people at the front door.”

With a sleepy face, Hayden yawned and said. “What?”

“They’re all wearing cameras, the entrance to our house is blocked.”

“What?” Hayden finally came to his senses this time. He rolled his body over and sat up from the bed, “What cameras? How many people?”

“A lot?”

Hayden came out of his room in his pajamas. Joseph also looked freshly awake. He opened the door and stood in the doorway of the room, looking at the door suspiciously.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“I don’t know.” Hayden hurried to the door, “Stella says there are a lot of people at the door, I’ll go take a look.”

There was a peephole in the doorway and a small bench that hadn’t been moved aside. Stella had put it there when she went to see what was going on a moment ago.

Hayden lifted the cover of the peephole to take a look. After a peek, he was scared to death.

“Oh, my God!” He staggered backward and almost fell. But fortunately, Joseph was quick and was able to grab her by the shoulder.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes.” Her face was pale and she slowly let out a sigh, “There must be someone else looking through the peephole, I just saw an eye and it scared me to death.”

“Let me take a look.” Joseph walked to the door, approached the peephole and watched carefully for a while.

“How are you doing, what did you see?”

“There’s a lot of people in the hallway, but they’re not looking for us.”

“They’re not looking for us?” Hayden let out a sigh of relief, but suddenly something occurred to him and he asked, “Huh? Wait, we’re the only residents on this floor.”

Joseph turned his head and looked into the other room, slowly saying, “Other than us, isn’t there someone else living in this house?”
