Chapter 2:.

“I’m sorry, little baby…”. Hayden covered his belly with a slightly reluctant look.

As the operation was about to take place, the door to the operating room suddenly kicked open after a loud bang. Men in black suits rushed into the room, crowding it immediately.

“Who are you?” It all happened too fast, the doctor and nurses startled. Scalpels fell onto the operating table, waking Hayden as well.

Without a chance to react, one of the men walking towards her pinned her directly and stabbed her with a needle full of anesthetic.

Watching what was happening before them, the doctor and nurses were stunned. The man who came out last pulled a pile of money from his pocket and threw it at the doctor as he said coldly, “This woman has never come here before, do you understand?”

“Y… yes.” The doctor and the nurses behaved nervously.

Once the anesthesia wore off, Hayden woke up with a fuzzy mind and realized he was in a luxurious room.

At the same time, someone had pushed open the door and entered, “Are you awake? Miss Downey.”

The arrival was a middle-aged man. He carried with him a tray full of delicate dishes. Seeing Hayden watching him intently, he let out a smile.

“How do you know my last name is Downey?” She felt increasingly suspicious, since she didn’t even know who this person was, “Why did you bring me here?”

“Miss Downey, what happened that night? was an accident.” They had really got the wrong person! The butler said apologetically, “Mr. Beckham didn’t want to come after you, but we never thought you would get pregnant. Since Miss Downey is pregnant, Mr. Beckham wants the child.”

Hayden snatched up the paper and her face turned pale after reading it. She glared angrily at the butler and shouted, “That was Mr. Beckham’s doing, wasn’t it? How could he be so despicable…”.

He forced himself to open his eyes, but, unable to look at him, the baby was pulled out by the nurse. Hayden was moved to a room after a few minutes and the butler came in.

Hayden was still in pain and clutched at the blanket. She asked, “Where’s the baby?”

“The baby has been sent to Mr. Beckham, he is a healthy baby boy.” Said the butler. He placed an envelope on a small table, “This is the check for twenty million dollars. Thank you for your hard work, Miss Downey.” After finishing his words, he prepared to leave.

“No, you have to let me see my son…”. Hayden panicked and shook off the blanket, wanting to get off the bed. It was his son too No matter what! However, he was too weak and fell straight to the floor. He felt intermittent pain and wailed. But he could only watch as the butler left helplessly, “Please let me see my son…”.noveldrama
